Newbie here.

What I noticed while at bar or elsewhere is that a lot of girls look at me. I am curious whether it is good to use this for opening, to ask what is so strange about me in a totally friendly and relaxed manner.

Once I saw two girls laughing while looking at me, and having low self esteem (and alcohol in blood), I somehow took courage to ask them whats so funny about me. Turned out they liked me and suddenly I received a lot of compliments.

This is another issue. Is there any way to take advantage of girl complimenting you? I have no idea how to react. Complimenting back always seems inappropriate, as it may not sound honest.
