This is going to sound a bit crazy, but my history with women (especially with one in particular) is anything but normal. Let's say hypothetically you know who you'd like to marry, but don't want to settle down just yet because you need time to yourself to improve and are focusing on establishing your career. At the same time, this person also can sense the same thing and expects a future with you as well (trust me, the feelings are mutual). As a man with not much of a past in terms of relationships and hooking up, I am not quite sure how having one night stands or short flings would affect a relationship like this going forward. This girl hasn't hasn't either. Is it expected of me to have some relationship or sexual experience before getting into a relationship like this (one where there has always been emotional connection but never was realized)? Would casual hookups or non-committal interrelations be a big mistake and carry baggage into the future should I involve myself with this girl? Even if the relationship with this girl doesn't work out the way I intend it to I am going to give it a shot at some point and I know for a fact that she is willing to wait for me. I'm just not sure how I should be looking at things. Any advice?
