I've seen posts and comments on here regarding "being in state" or how you need to be in this so-called zone to be successful. I personally don't believe in state, as in something that you turn on or off as needed/required. I've come to develop my own belief that once you reach a certain stage of your development you're indefinitely in state, so to say. What do you guys think of the state theory?

I'm having some trouble "flipping the switch" or instantly turning my mental focus from whatever I'm doing to the cute girl that's walking by. I wouldn't call this changover going into state, but just a heightening of my gaming skills and dulling of all the background noise. How do you mentally prepare yourself for opportunity? From my experience I usually come across the most attractive women when I'm out doing something other than sarging.

EDIT: Should have phrased the last question a bit better . . . How do you instantly re-frame your mind from whatever it was focused on before to making a move on girl in a non-traditional setting? How did you get to the point where this transition is seamless and without hesitation? Any tips, techniques or is this mostly linked to inner game?
