Random question, but can anyone suggest good shoes with a little "oompf" in them for the short guy?

You can get a set of lifts for around 12 bucks, just slide them in your shoes like athletic inserts

for casual/active wear the Tubulars from Adidas sport some pretty hefty soles and they're quite stretchy so you can put lifts in 'em i suppose.

Doc Martens have at least an inch thick sole. I wore low-top Docs all the time, I am 6'2" so it never occurred to me that they were making me 6'3" until someone mentioned that people buy them for height sometimes, not just for fashion.

But I don't recommend them for daily wear, they're too stiff and they'll wreck your heels and ankles (as I know from personal experience).
