Never had this happen, probably because I've never waited until the end of the date to kiss.
I have been on dates in which she made it clear she wasn't ready to kiss (during the date itself) and thus when it was time to say "good night" I didn't try to kiss her.
Usually if it's going well there's a lot of kissing that happens long before you say "good night."

Try going for the kiss during the date instead, it takes the pressure away from both of you done that way. I recently got a kiss refusal... the key is to not in any way appear butthurt. This will show high value. 2 days later she was trying to kiss me. Don't overthink it, there are several reasons she may not want to when you do. It's your reaction that's important.
