One time dose not show a pattern. Why do you suspect something is off? And what is it that you feel is off?

Edit: I am also kinda drunk right now, so that could be why. It just seemed strange I invited her over for my birthday, as she was the only person I wanted to see, and she dipped out on that evening.

Birthday plans only with someone you've only known a week sounds a little clingy. But the important thing here is just not to give a fuck.
Reminds me of a time I had been seeing an extremely attractive redhead court clerk and after the second time having sex she invited me to an event with her friends, but dipped out kinda fast, then claimed to be "sick", we didn't have sex again unfortunately.
The important thing was I didn't give a fuck, went out later that same day and met a sexy little blue eye at a bar and forgot about the redhead.

Clearing it up. as of 12:00 AM its my birthday. I have plans with my friends tomorrow for my real bday party. I was making myself a nice dinner tonight and thought I would have her over. But I am pretty drunk so I am going to stop replying. Cheeeeers.

I know how easy it is to get suspicious about behavior like this. But, since you've only been talking to her a week and a half, you should really give her the benefit of the doubt. I would suggest letting her make the next move. Text her and say hi or something lite and see what happens.

She texted thanks for the dinner, and i told her it was my pleasure. That was it. Im waiting for her to text/make the next move. After ditching me 30 min after I make an amazing dinner for us, kind of left me in the dumps.

Dude, sometimes, life just happens and you have to overlook it and move on or be alone a LOT!!!! At least, that's my opinion.

I am used to being a lone, I like it. But when you find a super attractive girl which you share every common interest with and this happens. Well shit.

I honestly think you're blowing this way out of proportion.

same friends
It's never a good idea to dabble in relationships with the same friend group. But there are exceptions so know what you can get into.
You said you had your birthday dinner with her and you've only known her for a week and a half. That usually comes off as needy and is never a good idea. But, too late now.
Also, I don't think you got anything to worry about. I think you might be getting needy though.
