I was crushing on this girl in my building for a good year. The opportunity finally presented itself to ask her out. So we decided on a coffee date.

Upon getting there, she mentions she just bought a house. I asked if she had roommates, to which she said "yeah, my boyfriend".

Umm what? Is it normal for girls to go out with guys on coffee dates who have boyfriends without prior acknowledgement?I continued like it was nothing as this was in the very beginning.

We continue our discussion, to which she says she is an alcoholic who was busted while drinking at work recently. She doesn't want to go to rehab because she can't afford it and is close to living pay check to pay check.

She then gives me her number and says we should do this again sometime.
