Not my story, but I read this and Lance has a good lesson to teach.

"Sorry of this is weird but I just thought this guy was so funny & awesome that I had to share.

I went out Friday night with my SO & his friends. I was having a wee sit down as the evil shoes were starting to prove just how evil they really are. This guy comes over and sits down beside me;

"Hey, what's your name?" So I tell him my name and we talk for a little bit, he's good fun and I'm enjoying it, SO gives me the "you ok?" look, I let him know all is well. Lance, my new friend, then pulls the "so where's your boyfriend?" line, I point out my SO and Lance says he's gonna leave me to it, I say that I'm enjoying his company and he's welcome to stay and chat for a bit if he wants, he says "but the problem is I wanna make love to you" I laugh and thank him for the honesty and he replies "I'm just keeping it real" and off he goes, simple as that!!

About half an hour later Lance returns "hey girl, what's your name?" So I tell him that we've already spoken and remind him the information he's given me, he says "oh yeah, you're the girl with the boyfriend" I tell him I am and say in a jokey way something about him having a few too many or whatever (it was good natured and he took it that way) then, he comes out with the killer line;

"Girl, you know you're beautiful when Lance comes to talk to you TWICE!!" I burst out laughing and he just went off on his merry way.

I dunno, I read and hear from friends different stories about "creepy" guys who don't know when someone isn't interested or throws a tantrum or whatever, this guy was totally cool and dead funny at the same time, it was just so nice!
