Pub versus pub crawl.

Pros.
- social proof - you have friends.
- Easy open - come meet my friends.
- easier to change venues with groups of chicks, because you've got a "tribe" thing going.

Cons.
- logistical nightmare because getting drunk people to coordinate is like herding cats

Never been on a pub crawl, but I know some tips about drunk/stoned social settings:

if one of you is not drunk, interaction will be impossible. Sober + Sober or Drunk + Drunk. Don’t mix the things.
if you’re going to get drunk, know your behaviour: many people become jerks/dangerous when drunk, if you’re one of these types, avoid it or limit the amount of alcohol (I know this is a bit against the pub crawl thing, but I hope you understand what I mean here)
if you’re feeling bad with too much alcohol in your body, the best thing is to go to WC, put 2 fingers in your throat and vomit. Then eat something like bread or pizza, or something very dry to absorb your empty stomach. You’ll get better in few minutes and can start fresh from scratch
another tip to lower alcohol in your body is to sweat a lot, that is easy if there’s a dance floor
remember that having sex while drunk might sound exciting, but don’t think you’ll go too far ;-)

They’re great went on one in Vegas last month and me and two other buddies got laid. Just approach a group of girls and chat it up, people are usually pretty open. Also don’t get too drunk, this can fuck up a lot of things. I think these things usually have at least an even ratio, most times more women than men. Think mine was something like 80 guys to 100 women.
