Your accent will help for sure. If you're a student, right away get to know as many other exchange students as you can so you can form your crew with other guys who are interested in the same kind of things.

As far as nightclubs go, go with a group of friends, challenge each other to approach girls, and just have a good time with them. If youre dancing and smiling and having a good time with your friends, girls will notice. Also girls here aren't necessarily as easy as lots of foreigners seem to believe, but it's still do able.

Also I'd recommend getting on tinder. Post the best pictures of yourself, and in your "about me" section write about how you're visiting from Australia. Girls will love that shit.

The great thing about the US (don't know how it is in AUS, but at least compared to Asia) is that you can approach any random person on the street and they'll be friendly enough to talk to you. Just do it man!

i'm not sure that a casual pick up is the best way to start your sex life: chances are that you're not going to be that great, the girl won't know you much beside your sexual performance and will judge you mainly on that. chances are that you won't get a chance to see her again talk about what you could do better and improve. i suspect you'll be "losing your virginity" again with you first 3 or 4 first partners.

i think first time sex is better with somebody you know and trust and intend to have sex with each other at least a few times. it gives you time to get over the awkward phase, time to get to be comfortable with each other to the point you can tell the other what they do wrong and what you'd like them to do without upsetting anybody, time to know each other beside bad sex and develop a liking for the other, time to improve and not leaving on a sour note.

I would recommend using game to get a girlfriend rather than a hook up, as stated in a comment below even if you tell the girl your hooking up with your a virgin (not that you should probably till after as it could be a decent turn off IMO) you arent going to get much feedback on it. Not saying I believe in the whole "your virginity is sacred and should be for someone you love stuff" (although nice) but having someone you trust do it with you your first time, would take alot of the worries you mite have out of it knowing she will do the right thing by you.
