I never really knew what it meant when people would try to describe what it really was. The most common answer I'd hear is that its basically just believing in yourself that everything will be okay. But even this explanation of it made absolutely no sense to me. Should I go swim in a sea of sharks if I delude myself into believing that everything will be okay just cause that's what I tell myself? The logical answer is obviously no. Why would anyone go swim with sharks UNLESS they've had enough experiencing doing it that they feel comfotable with whatever situation might arise? And that's where the real meaning of self-confidence comes from. It doesn't come from out of nowhere, it comes from having so much experience that you already know what to do to achieve your desired result and thus have no reason to be afraid because you can handle the situation whichever way it goes. And so all it really takes to develope confidence in anything is just to continue practicing at it until you feel comfortable. When you start to do this with many things in your life, then that's when you become an all around confident person that people feel drawn to.
