Set up a date for sunday, how often should I text?

I've never followed any of those stupid "rules". I always feel like the girl wants to know I'm genuinely interested in her, I'm not there to just fuck and leave. Maybe I'm a minority though. Why would you ever set up a date and then ignore her for 5 days, makes it seem like you aren't interested

I say don't text her. You ruin the mystery. It's easy to misconstrue things through text so as little texting as possible is best. If you're too available you'll turn her off.

While I do agree partially with immortal Al, You don't want to text her non stop or even every day, you didn't give much as to how well you know her or anything, but a quick how is your day going never hurts, just keep it simple and light so she knows you are interested in her and not just a quick lay.

though my views definitely seem opposite from most people on this subreddit.

maybe /r/dating_advice can you give you a little bit more help.
