Hi everyone. So I joined tinder and bumble last month and it's been a mixed bag. I can get a lot of dates with women I find attractive but I find many women are looking for more commitment than I am from them. This has led to wasted time.
My questions are: how can I effectively build a roster of 3-5 women for casual dating/FWBs? Should I be crystal clear with my intentions before meeting?
Here is my strategy so far. I've just started doing two things to reduce the number of dates I go on as it's become kind of insane and has taken up too much of my free time.
Firstly, phone screening. I find some women are apprehensive about giving out their number before meeting. When a woman does agree to do a phone chat before meeting, it gives me some sense of potential chemistry and fit which I like. I've done three of these. Two went well and led/leading to a date and one we decided not to meet.
Second, I have just started to be more upfront about my intentions with women before meeting. I'm looking for FWBs and I frame it as "I'm looking for something fun and ongoing. Nothing too serious". I find women that do want an LTR do mental gymnastics to say that's fine and then get disappointed after - not really my issue, just an observation. A couple are cool with it and I'm going to meet them sometime next week and see what happens.
I am talking to 11 women right now from tinder and bumble about going out. Aside from 2 that are cool with something casual, should I make my intentions crystal clear with the other 9 before meeting when I phone screen? Or should I just meet them and go with the flow?
I'm not in the business of hurting people or deceiving them. However I don't want to scare off too many women before we have the opportunity to meet and see if we click.
Cheers!
