Well, it kind of gives him the opportunity to take it as he wants. Can test his reaction.

You could also word it differently. “Pretty sure you was in my dream last night”.

If you’re talking to each other regular then it’s quite normal to be in each other’s dreams.

The idea is to get him imagining something. Guys are a lot more visual than girls, and get off of that.
