Went to bikram yoga today for the first time in a while. During the class the teacher (omg yoga teacher your ass is distracting me) is complimenting me again and again, ocasionally touching to correct some posture. This is normal I think but it seemed almost excessive this time. After class she tells me I was working so hard, and in the middle of the room! I talk to her about working around injuries, and then head to the shower. I read that asking for favors can be a good way to open so I say (after shower): "Could you do me a favor? " " sure" "do you have any face lotion I could use? My face feels really dry" "I know what you mean mine does too afterwards, do you mind oil cause that's all I have. "ill try any thing once" (little smile from me) While oiling up (lol) : "So do you compliment newcomers a lot, or are just a flirt?" She smiles and blushes: "No I compliment everyone, but your practice was very good also!" Spaghetti everywhere, not sure how to escalate, next teacher enters studio from behind me. She asks if I want sign up for a package deal. I decline, and say I'll continue with the drop-in price. Exit stage right.

So I think my "are you a flirt" question set me up for a binary answer and didn't get anything going. Or perhaps I missed the opertunity to segueway out of it. Either way I'm curious what some of you might have said or done differently

Thanks!
