For women, tinder is not a dating device.
It is a validation machine.
Therefore, there are really only three steps to succeeding on tinder:
1 Show your value. Your value can be any combination of the following:
- Physical : good looks, great body
- Social : large social network, friends
- Feelz : Acitivities show that you are a fun guy. You have great text game.
- Financial : you've got the big bucks and you want to show it.
Once you have shown your value, there is going to be some girl who wants your validation. Girls don't have the same level of sex drive as a man. Most men don't understand this and so they want to convert value into sex / commitment from the woman immediately. It doesn't work like that.
It never has, it never will. Leading to step two
2 Tease your validation. Once you give your validation (all your time, attention, resources, fawning over the woman), the woman generally loses attraction. Since she doesn't know if your photos are fake, she will use your behavior as the strongest indicator of your true value. If you treat her like she is the greatest thing in the world, she will assume that there is something not in your profile that makes you have a much lower value than you appear to have.
So you must tease your validation. This means, show your interest, but also show that you are skeptical, that you already have other things going on in your life.
That leads us to number 3
3 Move slowly. If you rush, you kill attraction, because it implies that you are sexually / romantically starved. You're like a homeless man whose been invited into a buffet. That's unattractive because it implies that you have low value.
