I'm finish up my second to last semester in the ivy league and it has been a starltingly celibate experience for me. Before college I had girlfriends and naturally sought female affection and sexual encounters. However once I got to college I picked up a SERIOUS weed smoking habit and was basically high all of freshman and sophomore year. It hurt my chances pretty bad, as it made me socially awkward and most importantly gave me a really negative outlook on my environment. I came into senior year with a thirst and managed to hook up with a cute girl within the first three weeks and got a couple numbers. However I became exceedingly needy with this girl and now she doesn't want to talk to me which I find very disturbing emotionally becuase she went from pursuing me to completely neglecting my existence whenever I pass by her. I feel a deep sense of chagrin. I go out socially and have met dozens of new people over weekends but at this point I am not motivated to go out and feel I have no chance at developing new bonds. What I feel my biggest problem is is that I either act with the sole purpose of being agreeable, or I decide to make my own plans and then feel really lonely. I can't seem to get the hang of being self-sufficient, and being enough. I can't seem to balance my desire to see someone all the time with the need for relationships to gradually develop over time. Does anyone have any experiences simlar to mine that they would like to share and provide advice for?
