Fairy new to seddit here and in the exact same situation roughly 5000 population and far enough from the city that trying anything there would cost me a hotel room.

Any tips given here would be awesome to me! And I would be glad to contribute some of the things I've learned.

For example. - make a friendly name for yourself with some people before you try any pickup. Words have wings and people will be weary of the "new guy".

and to stress the point even more EVERYBODY KNOWS EVERYBODY! the smaller the town the worse it is.

The reason I say this is to let you all know that it's easy to become "too good to be true"
don't just go for the best looking ones or you will be shot down by her male and female friends who are not as used to attention And possibly jealous.
people in small towns are not as open as people in the city, but twice as available use this to your advantage.

And lastly this is just what I've learned about my own small town. It may not reflect everywhere but hopefully it's useful.

Small town pickup is a little tricky. My best advice to you would be to really conquer social circle game. My buddy Braddock has an excellent audio series with tips on how to do this. Here is the link

Something I could use help with myself. I'm close enough to the city to go there fairly often, but far enough away that convincing a woman to come to my place while she's still in the mood might be difficult.

On the other hand, taking a small town girl who isn't really part of the small town culture into the city to have fun might be exciting for her and might pay off on the return home.

I think the only difference is that you can't just approach a shit ton of sets without consequence. As such it's better to get with girls via social circles and take things a little slower. Apart from that everything still applies (inner game, applying kino, escalating, etc.).

I don't think you necessarily have to get friends first to get with a girl but it is a viable option.
