So back in January I was telling my buddy how I couldn’t find any Christian women to date on Hinge and I was blowing through our city’s options in 2 days. He recommended his coworker who said she was looking, and I said like how do you want to go about connecting us because my Instagram wasn’t great. Well he never followed up. I brought it up multiple times and he never actually followed through. My friend is in a volleyball league with her and he hasn’t offered to invite me even though we work out 2-4x a week together, and do other social stuff together. We went on a trip together to Miami and had a lot of fun but he can’t even give me a referral. He gets me on his gym pass for free. He doesn’t want it to be weird between his coworkers clique if he goes and recommends me. However I don’t know why he’s worried because he is quitting that job next year and he makes half of what I make.

Fast forward to July and his girlfriend sent me a girl she recommended that was just straight up unattractive. I said hey thanks for the recommendation but I’m actually into your boyfriend’s coworker. And his girlfriend said “she’s not interested” and when I pressed her for more she said her grandma set her up with someone. I was like that’s great for her and just let it go. I never got the reference and I never cold DM’ed her but I’m kinda mad at my friend even though I shouldn’t be.

Honestly I want to cold DM the chick on Instagram and see what happens but I am not sure it’s worth potentially losing a relationship for a chick that is already taken but it’s so stupid. Especially when my options are limited in Ohio post college.
