Great points here. I'm in agreement.
While at its core texting should only be to set up the next in person meeting, it needs to be done right.
If the goal is the date or next date, texting is important in the sense that you need to follow these points to get to the goal, but it's also not important because it's a simple goal to get to the next step.
To me, texting is like a check mark piece in your game. You need to have it to translate numbers to dates, but can't expect it to deliver anything more than the next date.

yeah, to clarify my opinion is it has to be a mix of logistics and appealing to her emotionally.
only going for logistics is not doing it properly, IMO
