Oh for FUCKS sake, will people PLEASE stop posting random videos to seddit? Just because you think a clip is funny or entertaining, does not make it useful to sedditors.

You need an attitude change. Watching cartoons for an hour isn't going to get you into state, it's going to drag you down because that's another hour you didn't get out the damn door. You know how I get into state? I walk out my front door.

I respectfully disagree.

If watching a video while you're eating dinner (before going out) increases your mood, I consider that helpful. But gee, chill out... if you don't like it then downvote it and fewer people will see it.

Well of course you disagree, you're one of the decreasing number of people that still think South Park is funny.

There are a lot of ways to get into state. Things you do that drag you down into a boring solitary life are not useful for getting into state. I mean, hey, maybe watching South Park or playing Call of Duty or Halo gets you pumped up. But if you sit down to play them to get pumped, you're reinforcing your inner couch potato, not your inner Alpha Male.

First, there are other ways to argue your point besides snarky comments. Consider the following: "Well of course you disagree, you like South Park" communicates the same point.

Second, you make the the generalization that the activity of watching a video or playing a video game is a couch potato activity or that a person who does those things is a couch potato. Again, just a round-about dickhead way of communicating your argument.

So my apologies for a terrible post on seddit; I'm sure not a single person here watches videos while eating, and no one would find South Park funny. And if they did, they shouldn't be doing anything besides going out into the field to practice, anyway.

I would have figured you would enjoy the snark, since that's the primary theme of the cartoons you cited.

Look, I don't know where the hell you got this argument about eating while watching videos, but I suppose I should expect such an incoherent argument from you. You are not following my argument, but I suppose I should expect that too.

Let me lay it out for you one more time: Modeling your behavior on an animated cartoon series is OK if you're cosplaying at ComiCon. But it is ludicrous to take those concepts into the real world. Every hour you spend watching cartoons is an hour that took you farther away from your life goals, whether it be pickup or anything else.

...but I suppose I should expect...

Right, because you know me well enough to know what to "expect" from me. Again you're being emotional and attacking instead of reasonably stating your points.

I agree that you shouldn't model your behavior off of a cartoon. I labeled my post poorly and shouldn't have posted it. Okay. But I disagree with all the other assertions you are making, such as:

Every hour you spend watching cartoons is an hour that took you farther away from your life goals, whether it be pickup or anything else.

Surely you know this isn't true. The same could be said of anything. Substitute "watching a movie", "watching TV", "reading a magazine", etc. Spending an hour doing something besides practicing a skill is not going to take you farther away from said skill. Again your statement is just sensational exaggeration. Whether you like it or not, people will do leisurely things that don't involve practicing pickup in the field. People watch TV, videos, etc, and whether it's Scarlett Johansson on the Craig Ferguson show or South Park, something that makes you think about behavior between men and women is better than watching the news. But of course that's just my opinion.

Again, I can take a simple "Don't post videos like this", but I disagree with your other statements because they're angry, sweeping generalizations and you're being unreasonable.

South Park is deliberately juvenile, insulting, and moronic. People are incredibly impressionable and even if they know what they're watching is stupid, they absorb those values anyway. Watching South Park makes you stupid. You have obviously watched too many South Park cartoons.

Don't post crap like this.

Don't post crap like this.

Fair enough

South Park is deliberately juvenile, insulting, and moronic. People are incredibly impressionable and even if they know what they're watching is stupid, they absorb those values anyway. Watching South Park makes you stupid. You have obviously watched too many South Park cartoons.

South Park is satirical, you're the one being insulting. And I'm sure I don't need to explain to you that you've made yet another generalization. Go get that sample of intelligence scores for South Park viewers and non South Park viewers, and then get back to me.
