What's up SEDDITORS :D! A Little About Me: 18, COOLEge ;) This is my first ever post on this reddit, and honestly is the only reddit I get on. I'm not a pro with girls (yet, I will be) but this reddit has helped me out TREMENDOUSLY, I get on every morning to start my day and this boosts my confidence 20 Fold! Not with talking to girls in particular ( I need to Work on) but with self confidence, insecurities, and motivation.
THIS LEADS ME TO-
My greatest accomplishment since the fall, battling my insecurities which cost me anxiety and energy. I feel this is the first step to having meaningful relationships with females, and people in general. Before I overcame my insecurities, I realized there is no point in judging yourself and trying to become a perfect "YOU" to fit other people's view of you, this will only make you an acquaintance.
MY THREE-CENT:
Stop looking around, stop SEARCHING for people's view of you. Honestly just focus on yourself, internally, don't think about what the people around you are thinking. If you can get into the habit of doing everything you WANT to do without giving a rat's ass what other people are thinking, its going to build yourself from the ground up. This is the key to growing your confidence, once you can let go of what other people around you are doing and thinking, you won't judge people as much, and this will come off when you have conversations with people. You will be more knowledgeable of yourself and more in tune with your own ideas and personality, so try to check yourself whenever you start thinking about things that don't matter (Example: What someone might think about me writing this, there are people around me and I block them out and focus on my writing)
HOW I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO DO THIS:
I honestly catch myself looking around, which leads to thinking about what people are thinking, and subconsciously start to get insecure about myself. I stop this by consciously checking myself, I STOP LOOKING AROUND and make myself get back to whatever I was doing. Forcing myself to not care (which takes practice). I keep my mind busy with things I like.
EXAMPLE IN MY LIFE
I used to love to box before my car wreck. Afterwards I hadn't practiced in a long time and felt rusty. I've been going to the gym and its PACKED. People everywhere (Pretty-ass girls too) and I wanted to train on the bag in the middle of the gym and honestly was too nervous about what people would be thinking, so I would train on this bag in the back of the gym where nobody was, This bag was smaller and sucked ass. Since the spring semester started I've been training in the middle literally only thinking about my workout and my combinations on the bag and it feels great. Little situations like this, do what you want and don't give a shit, and just today two girls approached me while I was resting (Completely unexpected).
THE TRUTH IS:
You are constantly going to be JUDGED for ANYTHING, for how nervous you look, the way you look, ANYTHING! Its just what happens, but if you realize that being judged is insignificant then you can improve yourself. And the real One's, plus ladies, will notice you and flock to your lifestyle. Oh yeah and NOFAP. That shit helps a lot too with Motivation.
Give me feed back! First post, I'm going to try to stop being a lurker on this reddit and I love all the posts everyone gives, everyone keep up the good work!
