I've known plenty of guys on reddit and even the real world who felt like they missed out on something in terms of girls, relationships, and social life when it came to college. Now back in my college days, I was in one of the most respected fraternities on my campus and I will tell you that it was not nearly as hyped up as media and society make it seem like. I found that even in my fraternity, most guys were either in relationships or were relying on alcohol and circumstances to get laid. Very few guys in my fraternity actually managed to have a high lay count before leaving college, only a small number actually did.

Most fraternity brothers at my university (with lots of hot girls, big greek life, and a big party scene), even in the top frats, usually partied and drank a lot but I rarely knew any whose lay count was in the double digits. They lie about their lay count a lot too!

Rape accusations are a thing these days and compared to college men in past decades, I feel like guys these days have to be much more careful.

Now I'll admit, you will never be around as many 18-22 year olds and people your age as you will in college but if you went to college with a purpose and weren't a trust fund people, the truth is that you were mostly busy. Assignments, resume building, homework, classes, and so many other things. If you were not one of the very few whose parents paid for it, you likely worked throughout college as well.

This whole misconception of college being a giant party and a fuckfest are BS. Any guy that claims otherwise is trying to protect his ego, believe me, I've seen it countless times with guys I know well as brothers. People lie to themselves and look back at college with rose tinted glasses.

The only thing that was special about college was that you were out on your own for the first time and experiencing things like drinking and to a small number of men sex, other than that, there is nothing that special about the college experience.

If you can't find a lot of hot girls after college, it's because you moved to some shitty podunk town.

If you can't find a social life after college, it's because you rarely had one in college and just convinced yourself that people liked you when in reality they were just putting up with you.

If you can't find free time after college, your time management skills suck.

If you keep telling yourself that college was the best 4 years of your life, it's because you amounted to nothing after it.
