Is it a tactic to ask a girl to hang with you and your friends, but then just show up and say your friends decided not to show, so you end up with just you and the girl hanging out? This happened to me twice this weekend and I've made it perfectly clear with these guys that I'm in a long distance and serious relationship. They are very single. Are they trying to pull a fast one or both have flaky friends?

Just a side note, I have had guys try to pull fast ones when they know I'm with someone, so I'm a little bit suspicious when something unusual like this happens.
