This sub tends to focus on how to go about approaching. Which makes sense, because it's proactive and the most effective way to meet women. There are common pieces of advice that apply to almost every approach. Poke fun at her, don't let her catch you off guard, don't talk too much about yourself etc.

But what about when she approaches YOU? Does any of the conventional wisdom not apply?

Here's why I'm asking. One of the key tips on here is not to put all your cards on the table right away; don't take away the fun of trying to win you over. However, most women don't approach too frequently and have difficulty navigating it. Sure, sometimes they may just lose interest for whatever reason. But when given only mild enthusiasm from a guy, they often seem to jump the gun and get discouraged.

So do you think the best approach is to stick to your guns, or just reveal your cards right away? Is there a clear middle ground?
