Sexual dimorphism are the differences in aspect between the sexes.

In most animals, between the ones were the partner is chosen, it is the female the one choosing a male, so males need to compete which each other for the female approbation.

It means that females tend to be dull looking, and males tend to be showy and pretty.

But in human it is reversed. Females are the pretty ones, as if they need to compete for male attention… And women don’t care much about male beauty (despite incel’s myths of about “chads”, and other nonsense).

I’m puzzled by that human feature. It is not seen on animals, except the ones where male/female roles are reversed.

It is as if women were in competence for a rare resource. Maybe the alpha males are rare, or rare to keep.

[DNA shows that half of males that existed never had children, but most women did]( https://investigativegenetics.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/2041-2223-5-13), so maybe most males are meant to die, or are as unworthy as nonexistent, and women need to compete for the remaining males.

Women seem to behave as if the only men that exist are the alpha ones. Women always complain that there are no men available, and complain about men being aloof, patriarchal, dominant… all the things that most men aren’t, but the alphas.
