I’ll just copy and paste from my post:
I saw a friend of a girl I used to have history with. I know of her, but I don’t think she really knows of me. We exchanged eye contact than we quickly looked away. She looks good, but I was too nervous to say anything because I wasn’t sure what to say. I’ve also heard she’s kind of mean, like if you try to press her and she’s not into you, she’ll say “no bitch you’re ugly”. I could dm her later on Instagram later, but I’ve heard it’s creepy to do that after you didn’t say anything in person. Should I still text her? And if I do, what do I say. Also, obviously the next time in this type of situation I have to approach her. But what would I say if I do?

I wouldn’t slide into her DMs if she doesn’t know you. You can just approach and say who you are and how you know her. Your ex might have said bad stuff about you to her friends if ur relationship ended badly so be prepared. But most girls are not mean like that and don’t just throw out insults. If u are wanting to pursue her then u gotta just talk to her and see where it goes.
