Usually I send three messages at the same time to every match which seems to work well. Try it out next time.

1) [Cindy]. Beautiful name.

2) (Pick something from their bio to make a light hearted comment on.) I'm struggling to believe you're the biggest nerd ever when you have a picture of the Chris Pine Kirk. Rookie mistake. OR (If they don't have a bio) Nothing in your bio to go on. You're definitely playing the elusive card well. Bold move.

3) What's your story?

Usually I'll post all three at the same time and so far everyone has replied with something. From then it's up to you to continue with the conversation - depending on how they've answered the story bit means you should have plenty to talk about.

From my very short experience on tindr (3 days now) I have literally said anything (within reason) and have caught their attention.

Remember, tindr is window shopping for ladies, matches are not rare for them, so you have to set yourself apart, at least in the first verbal impression.

One girl said something about her pursuit in fashion and nothing else, I didn't see a compliment she probably never heard from lotsa guys, so I opened with "Hey, trust, I look way different out my work clothes haha"

Also many girls have this "I'm shy" bio vibe and the whole "haha, this/I'm awkward"... so one open I did was "hey, soo conversations murmur murmurr"

Also done this (no bio or anything outstanding in her pics) "so where should we start the small talk?" This is more risky though, you can look like a douche... but at least a confident one....?

So what we're all trying to say is that make it light-hearted and fun.

I dont use tinder. But my friend does and i sometimes open for him. Say something witty & they usually respond.

I've used their name with an ! Sally!, Jessica! Etc. Works fairly often, but I get a lot of matches sometimes I wonder if other people's accounts are broken or something with all the complaining.

You're right about a basic hey how are you being lame. It's worked for me before but it's a bad default message.

Be playful, but not in a kiss ass way. In a cocky way. I rarely use messages twice, always trying to be spontaneous. I've said this before for example:

"I had a really sweet and unique message but I forgot it so I'll just say 'uhhhh, ur hot' "

So the tone of interest in her is present. But it's also playful. In a self amusing way, I'm making myself laugh. Not taking it too seriously.

edit: I fucked that girl so...what's up downvoters...?
