First of all, this has nothing to do with self-confidence. You acted like a "beta" because that's how you are used to acting around girls. It takes a long time to get good because your natural emotions and what you've been taught will push you to act "beta." You just need practice. As for your broader question, the way to conquer low self-confidence is to disconnect the way you look at yourself from what other people think of you. People are haters and they are constantly going to tear you down to make them feel better about themselves. You know what makes you a valuable person. This is harder than it sounds because human beings are biologically wired to try to please other people and fit into the group.

When you say criticism, remember it's supposed to be constructive, without that it's just pointing out what you already know.

First off you sound like someone who was having the same problems as me, and I may not be 100% right about this because some people are just a little more quiet than others, but what it comes off as in your post is low self esteem. Learn to love yourself, everything about you is exactly the way you made it. If there is something about yourself that you think should go, then ditch it, everyone is awesome and fun at heart but when you have little self worth you often tend to keep it to yourself because you are scared others might not like you. FUCK THAT SHIT.

Most people think that confidence comes from being good at conversation, being liked or being attractive; they are wrong. Confidence comes first, then the other things will follow it, and the first thing you need to do to be confident is to like who you are.

Once you gain confidence you won't be so outcome dependent and you can use what you learn here in a much more effective way, by not judging yourself harshly if things don't work as planned. "I will make a very good impression" it's statements like that, that you should probably avoid thinking of, try not to worry so much about the impression you give and you won't be shy.

I really don't understand the alpha aspect of seduction, maybe that's just me so i won't comment on that.

Give this Wikihow a read, maybe a few times every day, it's tips have helped me learn to love who I am.
