I've identified a sticking point. I'm fine with approaching, opening, do pretty well at keeping the conversation quirky and interesting, and I think I'm also good with negs and teasing.

However, I sometimes find myself without a clear target because although I've met everyone, I haven't developed deep enough rapport even after getting some IOI's.

What are your methods for moving past the "ok this guy is funny and attractive" stage and into the "I really feel a connection to this guy" phase?

I'm in a college environment so I have lots of room for social proof, but could use some tips on how to develop that feeling of trust and connection between me and my targets.
