I am a uni student. I have a good social life, many friends, but in search of a girlfriend.

The problem: I happen to have many small talks with girls. I am not a fan of small talks, as I can never really escalate or show interest. Since I meet girls by accident at uni, most of the time we are rushing to lesson or something is happening, leaving no time to talk well. As a result, I have many empty small talks about daily mundane things...

Any tips on how to improve small talks and make them more meaningful and actually transition from them to a next level? Thanks!
