long time lurker. have never made a thread anywhere.

So i was on the train today going to work. just fyi...i am not a model looking guy by any means but i dress very nice, nicely groomed and i fake confidence incredibly well. I am balding, so 2 days ago i just decided to cut my hair really short and just embrace myself instead of hiding the hairline. anywho, the train is packed so i had to ask this really really cute girl to move her shit so i can sit down. if there was any other seats available, i would have chickened out and sat somewhere else instead...but not today. for the first 5-10 mins..i was checking her out from my peripheral since we were sitting really close. i saw that she started playing with her hair after she put her phone away. i thought this was the immediate giveaway because i kinda saw her checking me out too very subtly. i was scared as there is always that anxiety but because of you seddit (i remember reading something here along the lines of if you are hesitant...tell that voice in your head to shut the fuck up and just make a move)....so after being a little bitch that i am for 5-10 mins...i finally got enough balls and told her she was gonna get really tan today since she was wearing short clothes and she was pretty pale. she smiled right away and we talked for 15 mins until the stop. she asked me what i did for living, talked about traveling, all random small talks. i told her i am leaving my job next week and i need some alone time so i am going to go travel alone. she told me how she went to costa rica and really enjoyed it. we talked about technology and how it regresses us back. i did not get her number but it was a great feeling to know a girl like her (hb9) would even be interested. i am sure if i had 10 more mins, i would have asked for her number. real eye opener today as i only talk to women when i go to bars/lounges and that is usually after i get a couple of drinks in.
