You have to create tension. Laughter is the antithesis of tension. It's great for building up rapport and making her feel comfortable, but you don't want that. You want to invoke that hidden, forbidden sense of danger. Use silence, pauses and non-verbals to transition. Watch Mad Men sometime and look at how Don Draper uses silence to ratchet tension. It's powerful. Do you want to be the court jester who makes everyone laugh, or do you want to be the king?

To clarify, are you having this conversation anywhere? Is your goal to turn the conversation into a date, or is it to take them home?

I have the same question as you. Am generally outgoing, can close on most dates, but after my LTR I'm not remembering how to go from conversation to date...

just be like "hey wanna go _______" where you fill in the blank with a private place. i.e. "hey wanna go outside", "hey wanna go upstairs". they'll know what you mean.

Tickle, to making out has been effective for me. As well as what was said about tension. Sometimes the tension isn't perfect for the moment but if a girl is receptive to being tickled by you, then she's ready to make out!
