A few things i'd like to clarify: I set up a date with this girl, and wanted her to commute (quite a distance by bus) to the train station near me. She refused, but suggested we meet at a mall like a 20 min drive from my place. Does it decrease my value if I meet her for a date? Initially I was reluctant to take up the offer of meeting her not on my terms, but after speaking to a friend of mine (has had many hot girlfriends), who said that the PUA stuff like texting later, or having her invest into you without investing yourself, or constantly thinking of my value relative to hers, is total bs. Is this true? He said I cannot expect her to meet me without investing something myself especially since we never met before. Is he correct?

Some background: this girl first messaged me over facebook (we never met previously) and I got her number and her skype. We did some voice to voice talking on skype.
