I went to a brewery tonight with three other bros with no other intent that night other than to hang out with my friends and try some new beers. The brewery we were at had ping pong tables and dart boards so the four of us decided to try them out. When we walk to the ping pong tables there’s this group of five girls and two guys. I decided to walk over to the cutest girl in the group and ask if they were almost finished (I saw this as a golden opportunity to strike up a conversation with this 5’9” blonde HB8). Right away when I walk up to her and ask her if the table is free she is giving me strong eye contact and being very receptive to me(granted she was clearly buzzing pretty hard).

When we realized the table wouldn’t be open for awhile we decided to throw darts. The girl who I spoke to previously left the ping pong game and migrated towards my direction by the darts. After a few minutes of playing she comes up to me and asks me if we were playing cricket on the dart board. As a disclaimer, i don’t know the first thing about darts. Because of that, I saw this as the perfect opportunity to chat it up with her; so that’s exactly what I did.

The next two hours were solely she and I flirting with each other while my homies were on their own (they knew what was happening tho and kept themselves entertained as I was preoccupied with the girl). The whole time I’m with her I am escalating kino. I’m doing things like teasing her, finding opportunities to touch her and escalating more and more from there. The whole time this is happening, she is being very receptive to it and reciprocating.

Eventually security comes and tells everyone that the brewery is closing and we all need to leave. I get the girls number and immediately send her a text saying “hey cutie it’s _____” (I had read that doing this is a good way of ensuring the number the girls gives you is legit). After this, she tells me that she and her friends are going to a strip club and asks if I want to come. this is where I screw up. I tell her that I want to but I am unable to because I am the DD for my homies (which is true, I wasn’t drinking nearly as much as them) and that I couldn’t make it.

She tells me it was nice meeting me and we hug and go our separate ways.

thoughts I feel that I should’ve found a way to go to the strip club with her because I believe I definitely could’ve taken it further had I gone with her but was torn because I felt a moral responsibility to my friends. They’ve all been busting my balls this whole night since I told her no when the only real reason I said no was because I knew one of my buddies not only had to be up early for work, but that I was supposed to take all my friends home. They make fun of me for it, but I feel that they aren’t showing me the respect I deserve because I acted out in their interests over mine. Anyways, i plan to text this girl sometime next week and see if we can get together. Even if I never hear from her again, at the end of the night, number closing her was a win for me for two reasons: 1. I’m new at the game and felt I did pretty damn well for someone who’s working on talking to girls 2. I was the only one in my friend group who even spoke to a girl tonight, let alone got their number. Either way, tonight was a confidence booster for me despite the shit my friends give me.
