Hey guys, 18 year old here, trying to learn how to get dates from girls. My main goal with texting is: prepare the field, learn small things about her and throw a flirtatious comment or insinuation in the smoothest way possible (which may not be true). Alright, I recently got the number of a 19yo blonde who is an intern in the same building as me.

Note: I notice that getting the number of a girl you know does not mean anything necessarily, since she can give it out of politeness.

I see her everyday for couple of minutes or when I see her around the building, and I try to make some small talk since I still could not have a proper conversation with her one on one. As far as texting goes I'm not feeling interest from her part, my main concern is: for me to be comfortable asking her out personally, what signs should she give away?

Here's a few "lines" I used to tease her:

ME: Well I dont watch many tv shows. I watch because I like learning new languages, and english is my favorite HER: I hate english! I love spanish tho ME: (In spanish) I dont like spanish very much. Like, "you're a very pretty girl" is the only thing I know how to say.

ME: anything exciting for the weekend? HER: lots of studying. Got an exam tuesday, and i didnt even start ME: so its probably not a good opportunity to ask you out. ME: Im broke anyway HER: it isnt hahaha

I also made a lame joke about a typo she made, and she didnt understood the joke, but I just ignored it and changed the subject. She reacted positively to my comments, but got no remarks from her on the subject. I always redirect the conversation after making such comments. I plan on asking her out the next time I get a more appropriate opportunity, I mean, not in front of her coworkers.

I've already talked to her via texting 3 nights, in a span of a week and a half. So what do you guys think? Should I wait for some attraction sign? How do I make an actual invitation for a meetup? Oh god this is confusing
