The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. People often perceive what they don't have to be more valuable than what they do.
Women often get a lot of attention. A man that doesn't need to give them attention implies he's getting attention too... ie. he's secure, or women find him appealing.
The takeaway is don't be needy.

She is controlling the relationship because she knows that she is your only option. Go approach and date another women to detach yourself from her. I can imagine you keep bitching and whining on the chat...

Some women like the challenge. Also if she's quite attractive and used to getting attention, by you not being available to her and not giving her your attention makes you more attractive. You've distinguished yourself from the others. Chasing her will push her away and once you stop chasing she will then miss you and you suddenly become interesting. Being not overly available is attractive. Bring mysterious is attractive.

This post had to be taken down because it appears to be focused on a specific situation or person. While Field Reports deal with specific situations and people, remember that the focus is different:
No worries though! Though the thread has been taken down, any conversations you have started here can still continue, and if you want to PM a mod to get their opinion on this thread, feel free to do so and they will still be able to weigh in.
For next time, remember that posts about a specific situational advice with a specific person are fine as field should be directed to Ask Seddit (/r/askseddit), not to be confused with Ask Reddit.
