First of all, I'm early 20s. I'm not a good looking guy, I'm really not, but I'm 6" and very fit. I had a lot of anxiety before, but I set as my only goal to get inside and try to talk to some people before leaving at least. I made it to the club and started talking a bit with a guy next to me, who also came alone. He said he was gonna go find his friends when we got inside, and I didn't see him again. I went inside and looked for water.

I started just talking a bit with some people also looking for water, which helped reduce my anxiety and get in the chatting mood. There were also two really hot girls who were also looking for water, I asked them if they could get the bartenders attention or something but they said something a bit dismissive and left.

After finally getting a glass of water from the bartender, I went onto the dance floor. It was pretty crowded, and after a short while of walking around looking for someone I sort of knew who I had seen earlier, I just started dancing by myself, while trying to dance with everybody. I kinda just started dancing with different groups until they rejected me or I wanted to move on. I quickly started getting "accepted" by some groups so I had people to dance with now. I had also met the really hot girls I mentioned earlier on the dancefloor, trying to make eye contact and dance with them kinda, but they rejected me again I think. The two of them saw me but moved along and started dancing by themselves a bit away, glancing at me one or two times.

I sometimes have a bit of trouble reading signals on the dance floor, but today I just decided to be bold and try stuff until they physically stopped me or sent clear signals that they weren't interested. This turned out to work out pretty good. I approached only girls I was really attracted to, really hot ones, in my book 8s, 9s and 10s, and I tried to approach all of them I could see at least once in some form, like making heavy eye contact and try to start dancing with them.

Maybe not many girls were super interested in me, but one thing that seemed a bit counter-intuitive to me is that when girls were interested on the dance floor, they started dancing near me or in front of me, but they didn't make eye contact or dance faced to me, at least not to start with. But this time when girls started dancing near me or in front of me, I just started touching them in any way possible to see how receptive they were. Like, I would do stuff like just put my hand on their back or on their shoulder or something, which felt pretty awkward, just to gauge their response. If they kept dancing just as near to me without making any sign of disinterest, I kept touching them and escalated the touching a bit.

There was this really hot kinda small girl that seemed receptive when I was dancing with her and her friends, and started touching her. I kept touching her, like put my hands on her hips, holding her hands, and putting my arm around her when asking questions in her ear, like what her name was and what she was studying. She answered the questions and maybe asked me one in return too. After a while though, she spoke to her friend and then they left. I don't know if she decided she wasn't interested, or if her friend didn't approve, or if I moved to fast, but I just moved on.

I did dance with some more hot girls, and I kept taking the escalate until they stop me or leave approach, and it seemed to work pretty well. Nobody seemed genuinely disturbed, and a lot of girls seemed to like it, at least for a bit. I found the two really hot girls from the start of the night again, they were dancing with like two other girls and two guys now I think. I started dancing with them. They didn't seem to mind, but they also weren't interested, they had found two other guys apparently. But two of their less attractive friends, ok-looking friends, seemed very receptive. One of them was clearly super interested and started basically grinding up against me, but I wasn't attracted to her so I didn't make a move. The other one, a little bit cuter maybe, was dancing right next to me and put her arm around me when we all put our arms around each other while singing along to a song. I wasn't that attracted to her either, I really wasn't, so didn't escalated with her either. When they music stopped and the club closed, she turned around and looked at me, as if to see if something would happen, but I didn't act on it. I ended up going home alone.

To conclude: I'm proud of myself for living up to my own standards tonight, which is to be brave, honest action etc, to not let what other people think of me control me, and to not be booring. I learned that if you just dance, flirt and escalate with everybody you find attractive, and get into "flow", the girls at least like it most of the time, even if you don't end up going home with them, and the rejections hurt a lot less. It actually became a lot of fun to just try to be as bold as possible and see how the girls would react, and the reactions really were much better than expected. Pulling really hot girls didn't seem so far away.

I hope I will do it again soon. One problem is that I did run into some people I kinda know a bit, and I might do that again if I go to this place, which really is the go-to place where I live, and I don't really wanna develop the reputation of being the weird guy who goes out alone all the time at my university. But maybe it's not too bad.
