Dude, you were in a room full of girls. I think you were looking too hard into this. You should've teased them and just made small talk with them. Girls love it when you can get along with their friends.

The problem is you tried to be assertive instead of actually just being assertive/confident. They invited you, so you have no reason whatsoever not to lead the conversations. Stop trying to find a spot to "jump into the convo", and just jump in.

Remember, they invited YOU. If they didn't want you to be part of te group they wouldn't have asked.

Also, maybe it's just my opinion but I feel as if the term alpha is nothing more than an obsolete way to make yourself seem better. In this regard, stop "trying to be alpha", and just be the best YOU you can.

Lead it into something you want to talk about, or at least a topic in which you can actively participate. Usually what I do in these sorts of situations when groups of girls start talking about girly stuff, is I start asking questions about it. It gets the discussions going and I can actively participate.

Not saying it'll work for you, but it's a start. Find something that works for you.

I think that was a sort of shit test. They were baiting you, to see how you'd handle them discussing their lingerie. A beta response would have been something like "OK show me your bra." I've been in situations where women are talking about clothes and I just said, "I don't think I'm part of this conversation."

It's OK to walk away, that is usually a DHV because it shows you have better things to do.

That situation would be pretty overwhelming, but for a confident person there is no better scenario that a room full of girls talking about sexy stuff. Sounds like a dream!

Just have fun and joke around too. Embrace it! Learn something new about bras. Jokingly ask if they'd think a guy was a slut if they could undo their bra one handed, or get them to teach you! Sounds like fun to me...
