Rotate your topics and try to make them as relevant as possible. If there's a holiday around the corner ask about that. Give sincere compliments on things you notice about them and be genuine/give off good vibes

Don’t forget that one of the most important things is to base yourself a bit more on your emotions than on you logic/rationality.
