Just say hi, try to find common interest. Gripe about the class, a lesson, say how you like the professor. Just start small and go from there. Ask her if she'd like to study.

College is a dream world. Learn it now and apply what you've learned to everything else you'll be doing.

Oh and don't worry about the race thing. Nothing you can control there. If that's an actual barrier, fuck her, she's a racist. Or maybe she's just not into you. That's a reality you also have to be willing to accept.

You'll fail and then you gotta try again. And even when you get better at it, you'll still fail. So just get out there and start trying to meet people. It's just a part of life.
