A girl I like is making a Doctor Who patch for my apron for work.

I want to text her, telling her I have an interesting idea, and want to see her portfolio. Why? To compliment her art, and because I may make my own YouTube channel, and every good channel has good thumbnails, and I thought about hiring her to custom-make my thumbnails. Even if it doesn't work out between us, it'd be a good business partnership. She seems to be really good at her crafts.

But would asking for her portfolio be rude or overly needy before she finishes my patch? Like asking if she's capable of making the patch, or like me dishing out the compliments too soon?
