Seddit, I'm a new female PUA and I've been trying my hand at the game. Recently, the tables were turned on me when a brave venturer asked me for my name and said he'd hit me up some time. He emailed me that day and we chatted a bit, so I decided we could have a casual lunch together. I really didn't find the guy all that attractive, but his approach was in front of a few friends and co-workers and I found his move very bold. I respected that and thought he deserved a chance. My time is valuable and I didn't want to dive in too soon or seem too eager, so I set this lunch date to be on a Tuesday (he asked me on Friday). Over the weekend, he tried to pressure me into going out for drinks, but I was already locked into plans (which I had told him about). So Tuesday rolls around and he tells me he's "busy" all of a sudden and can't do lunch. It's now Wednesday night and we haven't spoken at all.

My question is: Did he flake because he IS a flake, or did I mess up somewhere along the line? He seemed mildly butthurt that I wouldn't go out for drinks. Could me sticking to my guns and denying drinks really have caused that big of a hit to the ego?

tl;dr Guy asks me out Friday. I agree to casual lunch on the following Tuesday. He bails.
