Playful she is enjoying and laughing. You don't have to be mean to be playful, playful can actually be compliments.

Just don’t insult the girl, that’s it. No one can tell you where the line is, it’s something you have to find for yourself. How you find out is by calibrating after the fact. Give a tease, she reacts poorly, say “I’m just kidding around, obviously you aren’t _______\”. Then go less mean.
