It's all too intimidating. There are rules and stickies everywhere. Large glossary posts, huge walls of texts about anecdotes. At a glace I feel like there's so much information to absorb that I will be saturated within minutes, and will need to dedicate at least an hour a day taking notes here and reviewing them or something. In a subreddit which for the most part deals with promoting the ideas of basically having step 1 being to get out there and socialize, having chapters and endless lists of non concise rules and anecdotes isn't going to get me out there - it's going to keep me stuck on Reddit.

I just decided it might be a good idea to share this opinion. Who knows, other people might feel the same way and be deterred, so if there's something we could work on it might benefit the subreddit as a whole. If not, downvote. I don't mind. Really, I don't. :)
