Alright, so I've been texting this girl that I met from a night out a few weeks ago, who was part of my extended circle of friends. We hit it off well, I didn't really bother pushing hard that night because our friends were around, and I knew we were bound to bump into each other at some point in the near future.

Anyways, I go her number, and after a bit of texting which I believe went well, I decide to ask her out on a date. Here's roughly how the conversation went:

Me: Well here's a plan for something in a few days, If you can handle it. Lunch on sat?

Her: Are you coming to (her city which is half an hour away)? I'm working on Saturday

Me: What time you finish?

Her: Around 5

Me: Ok, Dinner on sat? -smileyface-

Her: Really??

Me: No I'm just kidding Yes really lol Do you not eat dinner or something?

Her: Time and place? Lol

Me: (My City). I'll get you a time when I book the table, There's a pretty awesome restaurant called --- that does awesome food

Her: Reallyyyyy?? That's far If I was still driving then maybe

Me: You was in (My city)last weekend What's the difference?

Her: I stayed at (Mutual Friends) That's the difference, lol I see

Me: Could invite (Mutual friend and her bf) out for drinks afterwards? Unless you want to keep it secret Or we'll just do lunch on sun Actually that's probably easier And if you freak me out I can leave early -smileyface-

Her: Lol, I may be in (my city) on Sunday actually. I think we're going shopping in dinner

Me: OK, Now you've confused me

Her: Any other days? Lol

Me: I'm busy next week due to exams,

Her: Ah I see. We will have to postpone it Good luck on your exams We shall celebrate when you pass

Me: Awww that's the nicest thing you have said today! On that note I'm going sleep

I'm a bit deflated over how this went, because I really wanted to see her this week, because to be honest its an effort to keep up the texting without having met up and bonded properly. Can you guys give me honest feedback here? Have I fucked it up? If not, what can I do.

And by the way, in case you guys are wondering, yes I did consider her staying over at my place. However, that is not an option because I'm still living with parents, and they aren't happy with me bringing girls over unless she's 'the one' lol. I haven't moved out yet because I'm looking to save for a deposit on a house, rather than rent. I also considered just paying for a hotel room for her, as money isn't really an issue, but I hesitated because I didn't want to come off as too needy, and I don't want it to start some dangerous precedent where I'm expected to pay for all the shit, all the time.

tldr: fucked up arranging a date, is this salvageable?
