i’ve come to realize that my upbringing with low self-esteem play some major part in my history with relationships.

I didn’t have my first kiss or lose my virginity until 17 that led to me thinking that girls don’t want to be with me.

I decided to start working out at that point, and forcing myself and social situations.

that worked out in college and I went from no girls up until 17 years to over 20, however in the process I focused exclusively on external things and to a degree of lost some of the internal

I don’t play my guitar as much, I don’t take pictures anymore, I work out more so because I feel I have to than of enjoyment (Started to hit the heavy bag and that’s been fun)

just yesterday I went out for a friends birthday, and I had more positive interactions with girls than I’ve had in a minute but none of those lead to anywhere. that one girl who came up to me while I was ordering and just started dancing on me and getting touchy but she rejected the kiss and I didn’t get her number

now I feel as though I spent so long working on my physical attraction that I don’t actually know how to make girls emotionally attracted. for the most part it seems like “getting my foot in the door” isn’t as hard as it used to be but the new challenge is keeping her interested. How do I learn to be emotionally attractive? Should also note despite hookups I’ve only had 2 relationships and both were less than 6 months and i’m 23. Starting to wonder if growing up with divorced parents plays a role
