A few weeks ago I had an encounter with one of the girls from across our hallway in our dorm and basically this is what she said while talking to my GF.

Her: (me) is really awesome, when we (her and her other roommates) first met him he seemed fun and smiled a lot. Whenever we would see him in the hallway he would smile at us and say "hi (girl's name), what's up?". It really made a difference that he always used our names which led to him standing out from others in our dorm.

This isn't new for anyone I know, I am just restating how important it is to remember names and ADDRESS them by their name. Don't say "hi! how's it going?" Use their name it makes them feel important that you actually remembered who they are.

TL;DR: Remember girls names and USE them, it makes a HUGE difference in how they view you.
