I have received plenty of PMs from guys and am trying to help out one user on this sub who has been struggling a lot with girls at his university with his issue. Before I start, I want to tell you guys about my college experience. In my college days, I left with a lay count of over 10 girls and all of them were well above average looking. I partied, got laid, went on nice vacations, and enjoyed those 4 years quite well so I know what I am talking about. Now in those 4 years, I also saw guys who tried real hard to make college work for them end up being frustrated with themselves so I decided to write this.

Misconceptions: It's college, everyone is looking for fun, college girls are sluts who don't care about status, and you just have to be yourself!

We have painted the picture of college as this nice utopia where everyone is happy, on their own, not judgmental at all, and just being a fun social guy is enough to get you that "college experience". I find that this advice is wrong and very misleading. Make no mistake about it, most brand name universities in the USA consist mostly of suburban kids from wealthier backgrounds who are shallow and somewhat choosy of who they hang out or associate with.

Think about your typical college in a college town setting, you're practically running into the same people over and over again. Even for large universities, if you're there long enough, you'll start to see the same people every single day as you go to classes or out to cafes. College is like this one giant neighborhood full of 18-22 year olds (for the most part) who are mostly trying to fit in to the social game and earn respect from their peers. Now this is all the more true for college girls, the whole college girls are "sluts" stereotype is far from true. Most college girls are very cautious about who they hang out with, are seen with, associate with, and most importantly date/sleep with.

So who is getting in on the "college experience" and the hookup culture.

  1. The obvious, hot girls in general, especially if they are involved in sororities.

  2. Athletes, especially football and baseball players at major universities.

  3. Fraternity brothers in select fraternities. Low status frats do not get sex from cute girls at all but high status fraternity brothers do.

  4. Independents in scenes like theater or acting, these guys do not get pretty looking sorority sisters but they do get some of the more different kinds of female actresses.

  5. Independents with social status who are greatly involved on campus and well known/loved by a lot of people (hard to do but doable).

Usually after 1st semester of freshman year, the hierarchy is established and it is decided who will enjoy those years and who won't.

Notice, nowhere did I say PUAs that approach girls, because that is creepy. All of this kiss close, number close, and pickup artist stuff does not work. It may work for simple pickup because they don't go to any of those Southern California schools but it will not work for your typical college kid. As a matter of fact, doing the stuff that pickup artists do is a one way ticket to become that creepy guy all the girls avoid and do not want anything to do with. It will even get other guys to not call you to their parties and make everyone else dislike you.

At your typical state university, guys outside of the 5 I listed will have a very difficult time even getting noticed by hot girls. Most of these guys will have a sexless college experience if they are even remotely picky about looks because most hot girls in college care about status, they don't want to be seen with guys outside of that top 5 bubble I listed above.

So what can you do about it?

  1. If you're an incoming freshman, do some research on the college you will be heading to. If the Greek Life scene is huge at your university, you better rush a fraternity and find out which ones are high status. After figuring that out, leave an impression during rush. I even recommend skipping rush for freshman year as you better your value by getting in amazing shape and becoming a better version of yourself. Rush during your sophomore year so you can get a bid for some of the better or well liked houses (most big colleges have at least 6 of those).

  2. If you're an upperclassman just realizing this, find a way to get a job at the social places at your university. Ideally, you want to get a job as a bartender or just decent job at the bars themselves. Now these jobs are very competitive so look to get them towards the end of spring semester. Caution: In some places, bars will only give jobs of bartender to fraternity brothers.

I highly recommend talking to cool and higher status guys at your university who are in the top 5 and hanging out more with them. Whatever you do, do not pull any of the cold approach or PUA shit at your college unless you are in a big city college.

Unfortunately, I have found that once college girls become upperclassman, they become pickier and are less likely to be slutty. Most of the hot ones have been invested in LTRs and are not going to be as open to hooking up as freshman girls are. Ideally, I think that it is very helpful to know all of this before college even begins because as an upperclassman you're literally starting a few steps behind.

I find that after college, things like status matter less and girls are more open to just hooking up with good looking fun guys. In college, you'll have many situations where a girl finds a guy handsome but can't hook up with him due to her suffocating social circle or her judgmental friends who will attack her social status for it. IMO, college campuses in college towns are some of the worst places to try daygame if your intent is to get sex with hot girls because of how cliquish and tight the social circles are.
