Oh and I should edit - I’ve been on the receiving end of this and it was super unwelcome as at that point I had started getting into a relationship with someone. I was flattered but it was a hard no thanks

If one is in the right state even a few years would not matter. You have no way of knowing the state of your contacts. You only can try messaging them. My wild guess is, that 20 to 40 % will at least react in some way, if you send a creative message.
